Projects > Kimi Island Medical Clinic

If you are a medical professional, medical student, public health student, nurse, pre-medical, social worker or psychologist, we can give you an experience while working with our local team to provide healthcare services and helping residents at Kimi Island to prevent diseases. Kimi is an Island on Lake Victoria, the second largest lake in the world.

Although Kimi Island is only 30 minutes away from Ngamba Island the Chimpanze sanctuary in the country, it is one of the Islands in Uganda with the poorest population. Before TASAAGA started working on this Island, the community had no access to healthcare services at all.

People interested in volunteering or interning  with TASAAGA Kimi Islands clinic must be prepared to pay a project fee of $125 USD per week. That fee covers accommodation, food, drinking water, in country transportation to and from the project site, airport pick-up and return.
